Private sector Axis Bank has launched a 'Gig-a-Opportunities' initiative to provide employment to up to a thousand people in the next one year. Under this model, any talented candidate can work with a bank from any part of the country. A bank official gave information about this. There will be two ways of working in this model - first a full-time permanent job and the second is limited to a specific period of time depending on the project. Rajesh Dahiya, executive director (corporate center) of Axis Bank, told PTI - "We think that gigs will be big (regular) jobs." We want to make it effective like a normal job.
